EFFLUENT PUMP STATION UPGRADE, GROTON, CT

Contract Amount: $4,282,000.00
Start Date: August 15, 2018

The project consists of upgrades to the Effluent Pump Station, which includes all labor, material, equipment, services and construction inherent to the following work:
  • Replace the pumps in the effluent pump station.
  • Replace the discharge header manifold that includes gate valves, check valves, relief valves, fittings and restraints.
  • Structurally modify the pump/pipe gallery.
  • Replace the sluice gates, controls, and actuators for the effluent clearwells.
  • Provide variable frequency drives (VFDs) for the new pumps.
  • Provide new electrical power distribution panels.
  • Provide unit heaters and HVAC equipment.
  • Provide a SCADA/PLC Panel for Control of equipment and connection to overall SCADA system.
  • Construct two (2) concrete valve vaults expanding the footprint of the Operations Building to create a new control room.
  • Relocate existing electrical and controls equipment/wiring for “A” service and resiliency improvements in the existing tunnel system.
